Who We Are

Doesn’t God write the best stories? Chris was born and raised in Bari (Italy) as a missionary kid, and moved to America to start college almost ten years ago! Marie spent the first 10 years of her life in Indonesia before several years in Florida. We met at Columbia International University (formerly Columbia Bible College) in August of 2007. While it took us awhile to put the pieces together, we realized God was bringing us together to serve Him more effectively and were married in 2011.

Chris loves to know a little bit about a lot of things. He enjoys taking things apart to figure out how they work, and reading up on a variety of subjects. His natural abilities lie in all things technology, so he has a wide knowledge base in computers, graphic design, and Apple products. He is also passionate about loving people well. Chris meets people where they are and reflects Christ through his words and actions as he journeys with them towards Jesus. His heart is to serve, and he dreams big dreams of helping others succeed in their God given potential.

Marie loves reading, cooking, and being creative. With some pre-planning, being a Mommy can encompass all of that! She loves watching Lincoln, Elaina, and Oakley discover the world around them and thrills as they learn to navigate new things. For as long as she can remember, Marie has had a burden to see children grow up in environments that allow them the security, love, and provision they deserve. Unfortunately, for millions of children, this is not a reality. She longs for them to understand there is a Rescuer who cherishes them deeply, fights for them unceasingly, and fiercely protects their hearts that are so broken.

Our Kids

Lincoln, Elaina, Oakley, and Zander are the next generation in a long line of missionary kids. This is a part of their heritage on both sides of the family! The missions piece on Marie’s side of the family goes back 5 generations, starting in the Canadian west as a circuit rider! Marie’s Grandma was raised in Cuba and Haiti, and then moved her family to the jungle of Papua. Marie’s mom grew up in a remote valley and then moved her family to the main part of Indonesia. Now Lincoln, Elaina, Oakley, and Zander will grow up in southeast Asia.

We pray that they quickly see the magnificent role that God has uniquely gifted them to play in bringing the message of His love and hope to those who are so lost.
